The American long-staple.
Supima — the trademark of authenticated American Pima cotton — accounts for less than one percent of the world’s cotton harvest. Grown in the irrigated valleys of the American Southwest, its extra-long fibres weave a textile twice as strong as ordinary cotton, with a softness that deepens season after season.
The fabric story
What sets Supima apart is the combination of strength and softness. The fibre is long enough to spin into a fine, durable yarn, and dense enough to weave into a sateen finish that holds its lustre through hundreds of washes. We use it for the pieces designed to be the wardrobe foundation — worn often, washed often, and trusted to keep its shape.
Why we work in it
- Authenticated Supima long-staple American cotton
- Twice the strength of standard cotton fibres
- Sateen finish for a smooth, lustrous drape
- Resists pilling and colour fade
- Cool, year-round comfort
The maison standard
Our Supima is sourced through the Supima Association from American family farms. Every Aeniq garment in this fabric is constructed to our house specification — French seams, hand-finished plackets, repair-for-life enrolment.
